The energy storage converter is the main actuator and core component of the energy storage system as it can realize the AC-DC conversion between the grid and the battery and complete the bi-directional energy flow between the two. Through advanced control strategies, it realises the charge and discharge management of the battery system, the charge and discharge power control of the battery storage system, the two operation modes of grid-connected/off-grid and the mode switching function; at the same time, it has perfect protection functions, such as islanding protection, DC overvoltage protection and low-voltage ride-through, to meet the system requirements of grid-connected and off-grid.
